Privacy Policy

We reserve the right to send you certain communications relating to the www.GrainTracker.com service, such as service announcements, administrative messages and the GrainTracker.com Newsletter, that are considered part of your account, without offering you the opportunity to opt out of receiving them.

We have physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards that comply with federal regulations to protect personal information about you.

If you believe your account has been compromised, please report the incident via email to: admin@GrainTracker.com with the subject stating: Account has been Compromised.

• GrainTracker.com collects personal information when you subscribe. We ask for information such as your name, email address, and ZIP code. We do not have any access to your credit information as that is handled securely by Sage Payments. When you register and sign in to our services, you are not anonymous to us.
• GrainTracker.com does not rent, sell, or share personal information about you with other people or non-affiliated companies except to provide products or services you've requested, when we have your permission. You, the subscriber, may choose to provide your login information to trusted partners who work on your behalf. GrainTracker.com does not control or police those that may use your personal information placed on GrainTracker.com.
• We respond to subpoenas, court orders, or legal process, or to establish or exercise our legal rights or defend against legal claims.
• We believe it is necessary to share information in order to investigate, prevent, or take action regarding illegal activities, suspected fraud, situations involving potential threats to the physical safety of any person, violations of GrainTracker.com's terms of use, or as otherwise required by law.

Any subscriber found to be compromising the integrity of the GrainTracker.com subscription or web application program design shall be subject to immediate revocation of privileges and appropriate legal action for their actions.

GrainTracker.com takes your security seriously and takes reasonable steps to protect your information. No data transmission over the Internet or information storage technology can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. The following is a summary of the measures taken to protect your information and descriptions of ways we implement these measures for different types of information you may provide to us.

GrainTracker.com continues to evaluate and implement enhancements in security technology and practices, however we can only take steps to help reduce the risks of unauthorized access. Each individual using the Internet can take steps to help protect their information and further minimize the likelihood that a security incident may occur.

Security Steps We Have Taken

• Secure Socket Layer (SSL)

  GrainTracker.com uses Sage Payments for credit card processing and they use SSL (Secure Socket Layer) encryption when transmitting certain kinds of information, such as financial services information or payment information. An icon resembling a padlock is displayed on the bottom of most browsers window during SSL transactions that involve credit cards and other forms of payment. Any time GrainTracker.com asks you for a credit card number for payment or for verification purposes, it will be SSL encrypted. The information you provide will be stored securely on our servers.   Sage Payments, the credit card processing center, has an agreement with NET1who has assumed the financial responsibility for our business and it's bankcard and/or virtual check processing. In doing so, NET1 made an underwriting decision to accept our business and assume responsibility based on our business credit, business type, and information provided with our application. Based on the anticipated volume represented on our application, NET1 monitors our transaction volume to protect NET1 as well as protect us from fraudulent activity. Our risk system is integrated with the NET1 Gateway, Virtual Terminal, and Shopping Cart, providing real-time risk analysis and fraud protection for all parties concerned. This is important for you to understand, as various risk situations may arise where transactions are stopped or declined based on your risk configuration and profile.

• Secure Storage

  GrainTracker.com maintains reasonable physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards that comply with federal regulations to protect personal information about you. Our hosting server is Verio and you may read from their website in regards to their security and data integrity at: http://www.verio.com/about/legal/aup.cfm. GrainTracker.com is not responsible for data lost, destroyed or compromised due to Verio's hosting.

• Employee and Contractor Access to Information

  GrainTracker.com limits access to personal information about you to those employees who we reasonably believe need to come into contact with that information to provide products or services to you or in order to do their jobs.

• Education and Training for Employees

  GrainTracker.com has implemented a company-wide education and training program about security that is required of every employee.
